English Glossary 1

1.Reservation :  an arrangement to secure accommodations at a restaurant or hotel, on a boat or plane, etc.

Debra had called a day before, to make the reservation of the table at the restaurant.

2. Drinks: any liquid that is swallowed to quench thirst, for nourishment, etc.; beverage.

Massiel y yo nos tomamos unas bebidas en el bar.

3.Bottle: a portable container for holding liquids, characteristically having a neck and mouth and made of glass or plastic.

Marissa had to buy water by the heat of that day.

4.Salad: a usually cold dish consisting of vegetables, as lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers, covered with a dressing and sometimes containing seafood, meat, or eggs.

He made a cesar salad just for us.

5.cheese: the curd of milk separated from the whey and prepared in many ways as a food.

My mom does a delicious macaron with chesse.
6. Oysters: any of several edible, marine, bivalve mollusks of the family Ostreidae, having an irregularly shaped shell, occurring on the bottom or adhering to rocks or other objects in shallow water.

Corina likes to eat oysters.

7.Steak: a slice of meat or fish, esp. beef, cooked by broiling, frying, etc. 

My dad made steaks on the grill, it was really tasty.

8.Restaurant: an establishment where meals are served to customers.

The week before, we went to a really nice reataurante.


9.Salmon: any soft-finned fish of the family Salmonidae,  esp Salmo salar  of the Atlantic and Oncorhynchus  species (sockeye, Chinook, etc) of the Pacific, which are important food fishes.

The salmon is a very healthy meal.
10. Dish: an open, relatively shallow container of pottery, glass, metal, wood, etc., used for various purposes, esp. for holding or serving food.

Nobody likes clean the dish after eat.

11.Waitress: a woman who serves at table, as in a restaurant.
The waitress was really gentile with the costumers.
12.Waiter: a man whose occupation is to serve at table, as in a restaurant
The waiter put the meal in the table.

13.Menu: a list of the dishes served at a meal; bill of fare: Ask the waiter for a menu.

The menu were all my favorites meals.

14.Ice Cream: a frozen food containing cream or milk and butterfat, sugar, flavoring, and sometimes eggs.
I like the cherry ice cream.
15.coffee:a beverage consisting of a decoction or infusion of the roasted ground or crushed seeds (coffee beans) of the two-seeded fruit (coffee berry) of certain coffee trees.
I dont like drink coffee.
16.Tea: any of various infusions prepared from the leaves, flowers, etc., of other plants, and used as beverages or medicines.
I like the limon boil tea.
17.Dessert: cake, pie, fruit, pudding, ice cream, etc., served as the final course of a meal.
My favorite part of the meal is the dessert.
18.Cappuccino:a hot beverage consisting of espresso coffee and steamed milk, often served with powdered cinnamon and topped with whipped cream.
A cappuccino is good in a cold day.

19.meal: the food served and eaten esp. at one of the customary, regular occasions for taking food during the day, as breakfast, lunch, or supper.
I really like the meal that my mom cook.
20.Bill:a statement of money owed for goods or services supplied: He paid the hotel bill when he checked out.
He pay the bill for our meal.
